I took a break from blogging, but have been busy on various
kilim and rug repair and restoration projects! I'll share a few with you in the coming days, but wanted to share the final result of the repaired selvedge (selvage) of the beautiful Moroccan kilim I worked on. Note how the binding of the selvage matches the color of the weft and warp in the various horizontal sections. Now that the selvage is repaired, the kilim will not unravel and can be used for a few more decades without worry. --
